Terms of Use

Last updated October 12, 2026

By creating an Overflow account or texting the Overflow number, you agree to these terms.

The service

Overflow lets you save notes, tags, checklists and photos in a private feed, either through the web app or by text message. It's offered as-is, and we may change or improve it over time.

Your content

What you save is yours. You give us permission to store it and show it back to you only so we can run the service. You're responsible for what you save, and you agree not to use Overflow for anything illegal, harmful or abusive, or to try to access anyone else's account.

Text messaging program

Accounts

Keep your password private. You can stop using Overflow at any time, and we may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

No guarantees

We work to keep Overflow running and your notes safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for lost data or indirect damages from using the service.

Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Changes

If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
